A brother and sister fall into a well and are captured by a nix (water spirit) that lives at the bottom. They are forced to work and eat bad food. Once the nix is away, the children make a plan and escape, leaving the nix to live alone in the well once more.

The Willow Wren and the Bear

The King of Birds, willow-wren, is insulted when the bear calls his children disreputable. And so a war between birds and beasts ensues. The flying creatures win the battle and the bear is forced to apologize for his actions. The willow-wrens are content and live happily.
